Defense combinations
Boxing Combos With Defense
A combination does not have to end with the last punch. Adding a slip, roll, or guard movement gives you a reset and helps you practice what happens after you attack.
1-2-slip-right-2
Throw the jab-cross, slip right, and counter with the rear cross. Keep the slip small and stay over your feet.
AR Boxing sequence: ljh-rch-sr-rch

1-2-3-roll-left
Throw the jab-cross-lead hook, then roll left under an imagined return hook. Bend your knees rather than folding at the waist.
AR Boxing sequence: ljh-rch-lhh-rolll

1-2-3-2-slip-right
Build from the classic 1-2-3, add the rear cross, then slip right after the final cross.
AR Boxing sequence: ljh-rch-lhh-rch-sr

How to train
Practice punches only, then add defense at half speed, and finally perform the complete sequence at a steady pace. Reset your guard before starting again.
Add your own demonstration of the defense move and matching combo-builder setup.
